Olive Reed Paste – Description
Kalamon olives are probably the most famous olives in the world.
They are cultivated all over Greece and especially in the Peloponnese.
With them we make the Kalamon Olive Paste, with a subtle fruity taste, which is also salty, slightly bitter and vinegary.
You can use it as an appetizer or side dish, with a slice of bread or a nut, or in salads like the Cretan salad with dako, or in many of your other recipes. You can even use it on your toast!
How to Use & Serving Suggestion
First, take the desired amount of paste out of the package, into a deep plate or bowl.
We add a little extra virgin olive oil, mix so that it goes everywhere – and if we want – any other spice of our liking such as oregano, bukovo or some other ingredient.
Cut a few slices of bread or pieces of pita and toast them a little.
Dip them in the paste… Enjoy!
